Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination against students and employees of educational institutions.

All members of the Keystone College community are advised that retaliation against anyone filing a complaint of discrimination or harassment or for participating in an investigation of discrimination or harassment is strictly prohibited by law and by College policy and any individual who engages in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.

The 教育部’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) enforces Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits sex discrimination in programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance from the 教育部. Sexual harassment (which includes sexual violence and assault) is a form of sex discrimination and, therefore, 违反了教育法第九章吗. Specific behaviors that are prohibited by Title IX include rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, 性剥削, and other forms of nonconsensual sexual activity; stalking; and relationship violence. 许多违反第九条的行为也构成犯罪.

  • Make a decision about whether or not to disclose a crime or violation and participate in the judicial or conduct process and/or criminal justice process free from pressure by the institution;

  • Be treated with dignity and to receive from the institution reasonable health care and counseling services, where available;
  • Be free from any suggestion that the reporting individual is at fault when these crimes and violations are committed or should have acted in a different manner to avoid such crimes or violations;
  • Describe the incident to as few institutional representatives as practicable and not be required to unnecessarily repeat a description of the incident;
